Gameloft has announced the patch notes for the next update of Disney Dreamlight Valley, set to be released on July 9. This upcoming update will introduce the second part of the “The Storybook Vale” expansion and address several existing game issues.

Originally launched in early access in 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley reached its full version in December 2023 and quickly gained popularity, regarded by many as one of the best cozy games by Disney enthusiasts. Following its launch, the game has seen 17 major updates alongside numerous minor tweaks, continuously enhancing the gaming experience with new content and fixes.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the significant updates coming on July 9, as Gameloft revealed the patch notes for this upcoming expansion. The second part of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Vale expansion will be titled “The Unwritten Realm,” allowing players to explore a whimsical dimension filled with storybook pages. This expansion will introduce characters like Maleficent and Aurora, enabling players to engage in friendship questlines, unlocking new outfits and items along their journey. Additional premium shop bundles inspired by these characters will also be accessible to all players. Beyond new content, this patch aims to resolve nearly a dozen bugs affecting the game’s overall performance.

Following the successful Mysteries of Skull Rock update on June 18, 2025, which introduced characters like Peter Pan and The Forgotten, the recent update also included a new companion called Max, a helpful dog that aids players in gathering resources. Gameloft has also announced that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at a potential enhanced version in the future.
