Latest Dune: Awakening Update Shifts Focus Away from PvP Endgame

The latest patch for Dune: Awakening proposes significant changes to its endgame, making it more accommodating to players who prefer PvE.

The Deep Desert environment persists in evolving to favor players who wish to steer clear of PvP interactions.

Initially, the Deep Desert was predominantly PvP-oriented, but recent adjustments have aimed at distributing resources more evenly across PvE zones. The latest patch introduces further modifications to optimize this balance:

  • The patch notes indicate that Tier 6 resources are now accessible across broader regions of the PvE areas in the Deep Desert.

Previously, players desiring significant resources had to endure challenges in PvP environments. Thus, these changes aim to offer a richer experience for those preferring PvE, reducing their necessity to enter PvP zones where dangers abound.

Moreover, a new protocol aimed at PvP zones introduces a delay for exiting a PvP security area, set at 30 seconds, to mitigate border camping and enhance player safety within those areas.

As noted in the updating notes, players may now engage in Landsraad tasks for contribution even if they arrive post-completion, promoting inclusivity in these endgame activities.
