City-building phenomenon Manor Lords has been experiencing steady updates since its early access launch. However, the frequency of these updates has noticeably decreased in 2025. Developer Slavic Magic has teased upcoming features, but tangible changes have been minimal.
Greg Styczeń, the game’s creator, elaborated on the delay in updates: “We are revamping numerous systems at once.” He explains that they are not just adding minor features but are instead engaged in a holistic reworking of the game’s foundational mechanics.
Although full details remain under wraps, Styczeń did share insights about changes to the affinity system, which affects how buildings interact with their environments. As an example, he notes that apiaries will gain benefits from nearby woodland areas, showcasing a complex relational system between buildings and their surroundings.
New updates will also include fresh artisan workstations and a new area on the map that introduces various terrains and features.
Styczeń advises players that the ongoing work means they can’t issue smaller patches at this time, as it would create instability in the game’s evolving framework. He promises further updates soon.
