On July 1, Square Enix announced the return of the Moogle Treasure Trove event for Final Fantasy 14, marking the last significant activity before the upcoming Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow. The event kicks off on July 8, giving players a chance to acquire unique rewards, mainly from the Shadowbringers expansion.
The Moogle Treasure Trove event, typically held prior to major updates, allows players to earn a currency called Irregular Tomestones by completing tasks such as dungeons, trials, and fishing. These tomestones can be exchanged at an Itinerant Moogle NPC located in Ul’dah, Gridania, and Limsa Lominsa for various cosmetic rewards, with some items exclusive to this event. The previous iteration of the Moogle Treasure Trove was held in February and March 2025, during which players could obtain the rare Paissa Earring.
Details on Upcoming Event
- The Moogle Treasure Trove will run from July 8 until the launch of Patch 7.3 in early August.
- Players will have nearly four weeks to gather Irregular Tomestones and claim rewards.
- Notable rewards include the Coffee Cup Earring and other cosmetics primarily from Shadowbringers.
Irregular Tomestones can be earned through various Mogpendium entries, including Weekly Objectives and MiniMog Challenges, with the Ultimog Challenge offering the highest rewards for participants. The rewards, such as the Coffee Cup Earring, will require 100 tomestones, while other attractions, including the Ruby Gwiber mount and additional cosmetics, will cost 50 tomestones each.
Additionally, the next patch of Final Fantasy 14 is set to introduce various player-requested features, including more headgear options for Viera and Hrothgar characters. The exact number of participants in the upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove remains uncertain.
