MindsEye has shipped its third update in three weeks for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users, with a PC version to be released later. This significant maintenance update arrives after MindsEye’s rocky debut on June 10.
Having been the first project from Grand Theft Auto veteran Leslie Benzies after leaving Rockstar Games, MindsEye garnered considerable attention when announced in 2023. Unfortunately, it launched with minimal marketing, leading to negative reviews as players encountered significant technical issues. The PlayStation Store even began issuing refunds for the Build a Rocket Boy-developed game, reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077’s controversial launch in 2020. Subsequently, the developers have been diligently pushing out patches to enhance the gaming experience and improve perceptions of the action-adventure title.
Less than two weeks after the second update, Build a Rocket Boy released the third update for the third-person shooter on PlayStation and Xbox. While the PS5 version requires 4.1 GB of space, the Xbox Series X/S version needs over 8.6 GB. PC players will have to wait longer due to performance issues associated with the new update. The update resolves game crashes and includes balancing changes, improved gameplay, and enhancements to animations, audio, and localization for a better immersive experience.
