A passionate Fallout fan has built a fully functional replica of the game’s iconic terminals using an old Heathkit H89 computer. This beloved post-apocalyptic RPG from Bethesda is known for its diverse technology, which showcases a futuristic twist on the game’s 1950s aesthetic. In the Fallout universe, terminals play a crucial role, allowing players to control doors, turrets, and manage their settlements.

Reddit user Laura_Beinbrech unveiled this impressive creation, featuring Fallout designs and stickers. The terminal runs Linux Mint and even allowed the user to make their Reddit post from it. They aim to further refine the OS to mimic the in-universe computer systems of Fallout.

The fan’s detailed craft garnered much acclaim from fellow enthusiasts on social media, with many noting the striking resemblance to official Fallout terminals. One user remarked on the Minuteman logo used as the terminal’s background, while another shared their own experience with building such devices.
