Just a few months ago, a trailer revealed plans for a late 2025 release for Crimson Desert. Despite a report from Korean outlet MTN claiming a probable release date of November 2, 2025, Pearl Abyss promptly refuted the statement, asserting that they had not given any official date to MTN and that any future announcements will be made in due time.

Notably, reports suggest that Sony sought exclusivity for the title, but Pearl Abyss chose to self-publish, believing this approach offers better long-term benefits due to their established international distribution network.
