Sloclap’s new 5v5 soccer game Rematch made an impressive debut, with nearly 93,000 concurrent players on Steam during its release day. The studio has since reported that the game reached a milestone of one million unique players within the first 24 hours.
“One million unique players in 24 hours,” Sloclap stated on X. “Seeing so many of you jump into Rematch on day one is incredible. The whole team is super grateful! And already hard at work on fixing and improving the game. We are just getting started.”

Despite the game’s success, it has encountered some technical bugs and does not yet support crossplay, an oversight the developers are working to address. It’s also available on Game Pass, which may have contributed to the large player count. As of now, more than 83,000 players are still actively engaging with the game on Steam.
A recent update aimed at fixing stability and performance issues has been rolled out, although some players are still experiencing problems and the team has requested additional feedback to help resolve these issues.
