In World of Warcraft, a new colossal entity has been discovered by dataminers, named Dimensius, the Void Lord, standing at an astonishing height of 3,806 feet. This behemoth is so massive that it dwarfs the capital city of Stormwind, setting itself up as potentially the largest boss the game has seen.
Dimensius aims to change the narrative that has surrounded him since his appearance as a relatively normal-sized quest boss back in the 2007 Burning Crusade expansion. With this new encounter, players will face the challenge of battling someone so gargantuan that simply being in his presence could be overwhelming.
Drew De Sousa mentioned in an interview with Wowhead, “You haven’t seen a boss like this before.” Meanwhile, Taylor Sanders noted, “Dimensius is going to be an absolute feast for the eyes. It’s going to be an incredible encounter.” The excitement builds as players anticipate the encounter in the upcoming patch.
As for how to defeat a creature of such size—one that can likely squash the entire raid team—remains a mystery. Previous encounters like that of the catastrophic dragon Deathwing don’t even compare to Dimensius’s colossal scale. It’s speculated that this encounter will unfold in the upcoming raid Manaforge: Omega, expected to release in August, following its testing period on the WoW PTR.
Stay tuned as Blizzard officially reveals more about this new challenge in the future.
