Stellaris’s 4.0 version still requires refinements, and Paradox Interactive has announced that updates will be released less frequently due to complications arising from rapid patch implementations.
Earlier updates, including the controversial BioGenesis expansion, faced scrutiny for their quality. Eladrin, the game’s director, expressed confidence prior to the release but acknowledged that essential bugs were overlooked.
In a recent message from Eladrin, he admitted that the frequency of updates “has become problematic and even counterproductive”. He noted that attempting to fix one issue often leads to the emergence of new bugs, emphasizing the need to allocate more time for thorough testing.
Eladrin reassured the community that future updates would happen at a slower pace but would be more impactful, alongside plans to utilize open beta testing to ensure readiness before release. The goal is to provide a more effective development cycle and improve game stability.
