Bandai Namco Entertainment unexpectedly unveiled a reveal trailer on June 17, announcing that Saiyan Shallot will join Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on June 26, with early access available to Season Pass holders starting June 23.
Initially created as the main character for the 2018 mobile game Dragon Ball Legends, Shallot’s introduction to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero marks his debut in a Dragon Ball game outside Japan.
Since its launch in 2024, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has presented an impressive lineup of over 180 characters from various Dragon Ball series. Through multiple DLCs, the character roster has surpassed 200. The publisher is not slowing down, with more expansions like the Daima DLC pack set to be released.
Saiyan Shallot Joins Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
In his trailer debut, Shallot faces off against notorious villains from Dragon Ball Z, including Nappa, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, and Broly. While the trailer was exciting, it left some of Shallot’s powers undisclosed. For eager fans, the Season Pass provides early access to all upcoming DLC, encompassing Shallot’s introduction.
Having gained favorable reviews, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has emerged as a reputable successor to the classic Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series, selling over five million copies just four months post-launch, ranking it as Bandai Namco’s third-highest seller.
