Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Set to Premiere at Czech Film Festival

The popular video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will debut in a special cinematic format at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. This event marks a significant moment for video games as an art form.

In an unexpected twist, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is making its way to a film festival. Not in a cinematic adaptation, but rather, it will be presented in a cinematic cut, with Warhorse calling it “a proud moment for games as a serious storytelling medium.”

The world premiere of the KCD2 Cinematic Cut is scheduled for July 9, and it will be featured in the Special Screenings section at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

“We’re honoured to announce that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be featured at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The world premiere of the #KCD2 Cinematic Cut will take place on 9 July - a proud moment for games as a serious storytelling medium.”

Fans are eager to see how this cinematic cut will come together. Will it be a compilation of cutscenes or include gameplay moments intertwined with storytelling? Details remain scarce, and anticipation is high.

In remarks by Martin Frývadlský, CEO of Warhorse Studios, he expressed his excitement, stating, “I have wished to see Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on the big screen for a long time. I believe the civil story of a blacksmith’s son will resonate with filmgoers and stand up to international movie productions.”
