Creative Assembly to Mark 25 Years of Total War with Major Celebration
The Total War franchise plans an extensive celebration for its 25th anniversary, featuring retrospectives, fan interactions, and game previews.
Creative Assembly is gearing up for a grand celebration of the Total War series’ 25th anniversary, spanning from August to November. This celebration will include a retrospective video presentation, interactive events for fans, and sneak previews of upcoming games.
The Total War franchise first launched in June 2000 with Shogun: Total War, marking the beginning of a beloved series that has grown to 16 titles, including three set in the Warhammer universe.
Creative Assembly has consistently supported each new installment with updates and additional content, backed by a passionate community that creates mods to prolong the life of each game. The forthcoming celebration aims not only to honor the past 25 years but also to generate excitement for future content.
Collum shared details in a recent forum post, outlining plans for the anniversary, including behind-the-scenes videos, developer livestreams, game sales, tournaments, and Q&A events. The series of festivities will culminate in the Total War: 25th Anniversary Showcase in December, where new projects for the series’ various settings will be announced.
Moreover, Total War: Warhammer 3 will also have new content released leading up to the anniversary event, with significant changes being introduced in patch 6.2, set to drop on June 17. The upcoming DLC, Tides of Torment, will add the final playable faction to the game.
As the Total War series celebrates its legacy and looks towards the future, fans are left anticipating the exciting developments on the horizon.
