Klei has recently unveiled a new title called Away Team, a side-scrolling survival crafting game that builds on the remarkable fluid and thermal physics of Oxygen Not Included. This game stars a solo Duplicant who becomes separated from their colony.

The announcement was complemented by a trailer that features adorable animations showcasing the Duplicant’s adventures in space, including base building and material collection using a unique vacuum tool.

The gameplay promises a more relaxed building experience compared to its predecessor, allowing for diagonal structures and creative layouts. Klei describes the game as an opportunity to play with the intricate mechanics of temperature and matter states, making survival a personal challenge.

Klei Fest 2025 is currently happening on Steam, showcasing sales on various Klei games. You can find Away Team on Steam, although it does not have a release date yet.
