BLAST has confirmed that its upcoming BLAST Rivals Season 2 tournament will be hosted in Eastern Asia.
This announcement follows Valve’s directive, which urged tournament organizers to adhere to “Tournament Operating Requirements”, necessitating that they publish details such as the venue at least 12 months prior to the event.
As of the warning, the venues for the two 2025 Rivals events had not been disclosed. Shortly after, BLAST announced Monterrey, Mexico as the site for the first Rivals event, with the second’s location confirmed to be in Eastern Asia.
BLAST Rivals Season 2 will feature eight teams, with an equal split of four teams from Global VRS and four wildcard teams from regions including North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
BLAST is yet to finalize details regarding the location and other aspects for the initial Bounty tournament of 2026, which is set to occur from January 12-25, implying they are still working towards compliance with Valve’s recommendations.
