Lightyear Frontier Set for Major Rework with Expanded Features
The mech farming sim Lightyear Frontier is about to receive significant updates, including a larger map, new gameplay mechanics, and environmental challenges.
The popular mech farming simulation, Lightyear Frontier, is gearing up for a substantial overhaul with its upcoming “Shifting Gears” update. This new version aims to enhance player experience significantly by addressing the feedback regarding map size and gameplay mechanics.
The game’s developers, Frame Break, admit that many players felt the original map was insufficient for their ambitious farming projects, stating, > “Many of you quickly explored the entire map and were left wanting more.”
This update will not only introduce a larger map but also enhance the gameplay with new mechanics designed to support expansive farming efforts. Key features of the Shifting Gears update include:
- Expanded Map: A significant increase in the playable area that will encourage more diverse farming strategies and setups.
- Enhanced Farming Tools: New tools like a larger plow and improved irrigation systems will help manage the larger land effectively.
- Environmental Challenges: The gameplay will now include natural threats like tornadoes that can destroy crops and damage equipment.
- Delivery Cannon: A unique mechanism that allows players to send crops to other planets, offering new rewards and progression pathways.
Frame Break also aims to motivate players to aim for bigger farms with an improved progression system, rewarding them for expanding their crops to new locations.
This comprehensive update is set to launch on June 4, promising to overhaul how players interact with the world of Lightyear Frontier.
