Larian Clarifies Divinity: Original Sin 3 Rumors Were Just a Social Media Glitch

Larian Studios addresses the commotion surrounding its recent social media name change, confirming it didn’t leak plans for Divinity: Original Sin 3.

Recently, Larian Studios stirred interest among fans by briefly changing its Twitter handle from @larianstudios to @divinity. This unexpected update led many to anticipate a return to the Divinity series with a new title, Divinity: Original Sin 3.

However, responding to the buzz, Michael Douse, Larian’s Director of Publishing, clarified that the shift was merely a glitch and not an announcement about a new game. In his words, “It’s just part of the process to take stock of our IPs. I wish it could be more exciting, but we’re still working on multiple projects.”

Douse emphasized that nothing is formally planned for the next installment of the series just yet, although speculation continues about what Larian’s next move might be. Fans remain eager for updates, especially given the studio’s rich history with the Divinity franchise.
