Super People Returns with New Closed Beta Trial in June

After being discontinued in 2023, Super People, a unique battle royale game, is making a comeback with an upcoming closed beta test scheduled for June.

After its abrupt shutdown in mid-2023, Super People is making an unexpected return, now entering a closed beta phase in June.

Originally launched in 2021, this battle royale game stood out with its unique gameplay mechanics that allowed players to level up through combat, promoting aggressive playstyles as opposed to typical run-and-hide strategies.

Following its early access launch and the rebranding to Super People 2, the game ultimately closed down in August 2023. On May 2, 2025, a new listing for Super People appeared on Steam accompanied by a message from the game director, Hur Min, indicating a fresh start and a richer gaming experience for players.

“It’s time to Back and shine Super Soldiers, Super People is officially BACK!”
Translation: It’s time to return and shine, the Super Soldiers, Super People has officially come back!

The closed beta is set to run from 3 PM PT on June 18 until June 26, with the developers aiming not just to revive the previous version of the game, but to enhance it significantly. Key priorities include fighting cheating, balancing character and weapon capabilities, and improving progression mechanics.

For updates, interested players can check the Steam page for the game and consider signing up for the chance to participate.
