Wooting is set to launch its latest gaming keyboard enhancements with new knobs designed to replace existing switches. Owners of Wooting keyboards can now easily swap out a switch or four for these customizable dials. The knobs can be utilized for any function desired within the Wootility software, adding versatility to gaming setups.
“You can place it anywhere you want and have as many as you want,” says Simon Whyte, lead software engineer at Wooting.
The implementation of these knobs aims to increase efficiency and customization for gamers, with a specific installation spot for a larger knob on the Wooting 80HE, enhancing its use.
This innovative feature is expected to support a significant majority of Wooting’s keyboard lineup, though older models using an older AVR chip might not be compatible. According to Whyte, around 98% of their keyboards utilize the modern ARM chip, ensuring continued support and upgrades for most users.
The launch is projected for Q1 2026, marking yet another step forward in Wooting’s commitment to enhancing gaming experiences.
