Ducky Unveils Its Striking Year of the Snake Keyboard at Computex 2025
The latest Ducky keyboard combines aesthetic appeal with limited availability at Computex, showcasing unique designs not seen in previous models.
I have a soft spot for Ducky, and its One 3 Matcha keyboard was among my favorites in 2023, mainly due to its stunning design. Not one to skimp on aesthetics, Ducky has introduced a new Year of the Snake keyboard that is so beautiful I’m already regretting I won’t be one of the 2025 fortunate users.
Our colleague Jacob got a firsthand look at Computex 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan, demonstrating better willpower than I by not sneaking the keyboard out under his vest. Each keyboard is numbered from 1 to 2025, with the model displayed at Computex numbered 1348.
The quantity available this year is generous compared to last year’s Year of the Dragon edition, which had only 999 units. This year’s model is a Tinker 75, featuring a 75% layout and hot-swappable switches.
This new model is vibrant and colorful, with hues of pink, cream, and an off-white shade, contrasted with accents of black that enhance the brightness of the colors.
The keyboard’s design might lead some to see it as an abstract pattern, but it adheres to a standard QWERTY layout (or rather, I’d say a QUIRKY one?).
The back of the Year of the Snake keyboard reveals even more charm, highlighting a two-piped flute with a dragon intertwined around it, a design echoed on the space bar. This isn’t Ducky’s first Year of the Snake keyboard; they previously launched one in 2013, but the aesthetic of this one marks a significant improvement over its predominantly grey predecessor.
