Modder Enhances Oblivion's Thieves' Guild with Infinite Quests

A recent mod for Oblivion allows players to engage endlessly with the Thieves' Guild, creating an infinite quest experience.

Recently, a modder named ColdTyrant has developed an innovative mod called Thieves Guild – Infinitum for Oblivion Remastered, which allows players to embark on endless quests for the Thieves’ Guild. This follows their previous success with the Dark Brotherhood mod, which introduced an infinite quest mode reminiscent of Hitman’s freelancer style.

“Take on Radiant Special Requests to steal specific items throughout Cyrodiil,” ColdTyrant states. “The quest-generation system offers 100 infinitely repeatable, randomly selected quests to secure specific items for various clients.”
Translation: This mod generates quests that allow players to engage in continuous thieving activities while earning rewards based on the successful completion of tasks.

The mechanics are quite similar to the Dark Brotherhood mod. Players can pick up contracts and earn rewards which include in-game currency and various guild services such as bounty wipes and lockpicks. This approach aims to enhance the overall experience of exploring the rich environments within Oblivion rather than relying solely on conventional dungeon quests.

In addition to the Thieves’ Guild mod, ColdTyrant has also released mods for the Arena and Fighter’s Guild, ensuring that gameplay remains engaging even after reaching the guildmaster level.

This implementation shows a significant leap in keeping the game fresh and enjoyable, a feat especially commendable given the lack of official mod support from Bethesda for Oblivion.
