Borderlands 4 Price Unveiled Amid Pre-order Launch
The price point for Borderlands 4 has been officially revealed as pre-orders commence, with the standard edition priced at $70, much to the relief of fans.
Preorders for Borderlands 4 have started, and fans are relieved to discover the standard edition is priced at $70 instead of the previously speculated $80. This latest entry in Gearbox’s humorous sci-fi looter shooter franchise will take players to a new world called Kairos, featuring a fresh group of Vault Hunters and a plethora of new weaponry.
Last month’s discourse arose when Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford suggested that true fans should adapt to potentially higher prices, which caused backlash in the gaming community concerned about increasing game costs. Eventually, this conversation prompted Pitchford to apologize.
Pricing Details
- Standard Edition: $70
- Deluxe Edition: $100 (includes in-game cosmetics and additional content post-launch)
- Super Deluxe Edition: $130 (adds exclusive cosmetics and additional story content)
While the change in price may have come from pressure due to ongoing discussions in the gaming community, it’s yet to be seen how this will affect the sales of Borderlands 4, which is scheduled for release on September 12, 2025.
