The Voice Behind 'Rules of Nature' Missed the Meme Moment

Jason Charles Miller, known for his famous vocal work in video games, had no idea about the viral popularity of the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance theme until two years later.

Jason Charles Miller, lead singer of Godhead, is not just known for his band but also for his notable contributions to video games. Particularly, he lent his voice to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with the iconic track “Rules of Nature”. Surprisingly, Miller found out about the viral trend of the meme that emerged from this song two years later, because he wasn’t credited immediately for it.

“Get this: I missed it. I missed it all,” he shared. “The whole ‘Rules of Nature Goes With Everything’, I found out about that like, two years later, because my name wasn’t credited on it right away.”

His reflection on this delayed recognition highlights the unusual nature of viral fame in the gaming community. Miller expressed frustration over missing the excitement of the meme moment but admitted he enjoys when fans connect his work across different games. He added, “I did three songs for Cyberpunk 2077 with one of my side projects called Rezodrone, so people didn’t know right away that that was also me”. His ongoing journey in the gaming industry remains a fascinating tale for fans of both music and video games.
