Best Buy Lists RTX 5060 Cards, But Many Prices Are Alarming
Retail listings for the Nvidia RTX 5060 show a mix of expected and exorbitant prices, prompting concerns about availability at MSRP.
The launch of the Nvidia RTX 5060 on May 19 is stirring interest and concern as listings become available at Best Buy. However, many of these listed prices are markedly above the expected manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP).
Currently, various Asus listings for the RTX 5060 have emerged, but notably, only one PNY card is listed at its MSRP of $300. This disparity raises concerns that the higher prices seen for many Asus listings may just be placeholders, as they have since been withdrawn from the website.
Current Listings:
- Asus TUF RTX 5060 OC: $410
- Asus Prime RTX 5060 OC: $380
- Asus Prime RTX 5060: $340
- PNY RTX 5060 Dual Fan: $300
Despite the initial listings, the availability of cards at their MSRP remains uncertain. The RTX 5060, with its 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, could become a budget option if the prices adjust favorably when re-listed. However, the trajectory of pricing suggests challenges that consumers might face in obtaining these cards at the intended price.
