Concerns Arise Over Thermal Gel Issues in Gigabyte's RTX 50-Series Graphics Cards

Reports indicate thermal gel leakage on certain Gigabyte RTX 50-series graphics cards, raising concerns among users.

Recently, reports have surfaced indicating issues with the thermal gel on several RTX 50-series graphics cards from Gigabyte. Users have noted that the thermal gel appears to be leaking or ‘crawling out’ in certain cases, especially among those who have installed their graphics cards vertically.

A user from Quasar Zone claimed to see the thermal gel moving after just a month of light usage, while others on the TechPowerUp forum have shared similar experiences.

In response, Gigabyte acknowledged the situation in a press release, explaining that the amount of thermal gel applied had been adjusted in later production batches. They asserted that while the appearance of excess gel may cause concern, it does not affect performance or reliability.

As such, they have advised users experiencing issues to monitor the situation and seek support if necessary. It remains to be seen how widespread this issue may be, but given the high cost of these graphics cards, users are understandably alarmed.
