Jack Black's Chicken Song Makes History on Billboard

Jack Black's whimsical song from 'A Minecraft Movie' sets a record as the shortest track to ever enter the Billboard Hot 100.

Jack Black’s quirky song “Steve’s Lava Chicken” from A Minecraft Movie has just made history by entering the Billboard Hot 100 as the shortest song ever recorded. The track, lasting a mere 34 seconds, debuted at No. 78 on the charts, achieving this milestone after accumulating over seven million streams in the US in just a week.

This momentous event breaks the previous record and highlights Jack Black’s dual talent as both an actor and a musician. Not only is he known for his roles in film but also for his work with the comedic rock band Tenacious D. His previous entry into the Hot 100 was with another movie-related song, “Peaches” from the Super Mario Bros. Movie, a track that lingered on the charts for five weeks.

The hilarious song lyrics include lines like:

La-la-la-lava ch-ch-ch-chicken
Steve’s Lava Chicken, yeah, it’s tasty as hell

Following its release on April 4, A Minecraft Movie quickly became a commercial success, grossing over $800 million globally, with a sequel expected to be in the works due to its popularity.
