Eric Barone Shifts Focus to Haunted Chocolatier After Stardew Valley's 1.6 Update

Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, expresses his dedication to developing his new game Haunted Chocolatier, putting Stardew on hold.

Eric Barone has been working hard on his upcoming game, Haunted Chocolatier, but his loyalty to Stardew Valley remains a challenge. After releasing the substantial update 1.6 for Stardew Valley, Barone is ready to make Haunted Chocolatier his priority.

Barone stated, “I’m committed to not working on Stardew Valley until I’m done with Haunted Chocolatier”. He admits that his dedication to Stardew Valley can be distracting, despite the game’s significant success over the years.

In his words, “I do love Stardew Valley and I care about the fans and I want the fans to have a great experience,” reflecting the balance he seeks between the two projects.

As he continues to refine Haunted Chocolatier, he jokes that he may isolate himself in a cabin until it’s finished, saying, “I’m going to have to completely cut off everything else” to finally complete the new game.
