Ivan ‘F_1N’ Kochugov, now 41, rejoins the Virtus.pro, the team he represented in CS 1.6 nearly 20 years prior. F_1N will take immediate charge as head coach of the organization.
“F_1N has transitioned from being a player in a championship-winning roster to a coach recognized for developing young talents,” stated Nikolai Petrossian, CEO of Virtus.pro, in an official announcement.
This news comes shortly after the departure of their previous coach, Pavel ‘PASHANOJ’ Legostaev, who was dismissed just hours after the team’s exit from IEM Melbourne by FlyQuest.
F_1N’s contract with Virtus.pro marks his fourth coaching role within the last year, previously coaching for the inactive roster of PARIVISION.
In the aftermath of F_1N’s announcement, Virtus.pro aims to strengthen its lineup and propel forward in the eSports scene. F_1N expressed high motivation returning to the organization, emphasizing the hard work ahead as their preparations begin regarding upcoming boot camps.
