Doom: The Dark Ages Reveals New Cosmic Realm with Lovecraftian Architecture

Explore the new Cosmic Realm in Doom: The Dark Ages, featuring cyclopean architecture and a terrifying new weapon. Game director Hugo Martin shares insights on this upcoming campaign.

Game director Hugo Martin has given a revealing look into the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages campaign, showcasing a new area known as the Cosmic Realm. This realm features remarkable Lovecraftian architecture that players can explore while battling insane enemies.

In his words, “You will bear witness to the cyclopean architecture of this Lovecraftian dimension as you explore its darkest secrets and battle its most insane enemies!”

Cyclopean masonry involves using very large stones without any mortar, often associated with ancient giants, making it fitting for the eerie aesthetics of this new dimension.

Additionally, players will have access to a novel weapon, the Reaver Chainshot, described as an ancient tool from dimensions beyond, with unique capabilities that promise intense gameplay.

The game is set to be released on May 15 and is available for pre-purchase on Steam.
