Tekken Director Clarifies Intentions Amid Job Openings on LinkedIn
Katsuhiro Harada, the director of Tekken, addresses rumors regarding his potential departure from Bandai Namco after activating LinkedIn's job-seeking feature.
In response to recent speculation, Tekken’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, reassures fans he is not planning to leave Bandai Namco despite activating LinkedIn’s ‘open to work’ option.
Some fans raised eyebrows when they noticed Harada had this setting enabled, interpreting it as a signal that he might be seeking new job opportunities. Harada’s LinkedIn profile lists potential roles such as ‘Executive Producer,’ ‘Game Director,’ and ‘Vice President of Business Development.’
However, Harada clarifies that his motivation behind enabling the feature is purely social. “Oh, don’t worry about this,” he tweeted, addressing concerns that he might be searching for a new gig. “I meet a lot of people on a regular basis (but I don’t actually have that many friends in my private world LOL), I just wanted to meet more people and expand my horizons in the future. Just that.”
For nearly three decades, Harada has been pivotal in Tekken’s development since its debut in 1994. While fans speculate about his future, the director has hinted that Tekken 9 could be their final project before retirement. Recent comments suggest he is concerned about advancing age affecting future projects, leaving fans to wonder if they will see him on a different path.
