The Australian captain has been released after a month on the bench.
FlyQuest announced the departure of Christopher “dexter” Nong after he had been benched for a month, concluding a year-long relationship with the organization.
Dexter joined FlyQuest in March 2024 as part of their acquisition of the former Grayhound roster, with the first year yielding fruitful results including a qualification to the Perfect World Shanghai Major and a victory at ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 where he posted a rating of 1.24.
Nevertheless, the team’s performance worsened in 2025, leading to earlier than anticipated exits from PGL Cluj-Napoca, IEM Katowice, and BLAST Bounty.
This decline prompted management to restructure the roster, with leadership passed to Joshua “INS” Potter and the signing of Corey “nettik” Browne for enhanced firepower, which resulted in qualification for the Austin Major in their debut at the Oceania MRQ.
“I am happy to announce that I am now a free agent,” dexter said in a recent X statement.
“I cannot express enough gratitude to FlyQuest for providing me and my teammates such an incredible opportunity! I’ve never had the pleasure of working with a staff so passionate and dedicated like you all. I hope to cross paths with everyone again in the future.”
