How Do Hero Bans Work in Overwatch 2?
All players will optionally select a Preferred Hero, which is not protected from bans. Next, every player will vote on up to three heroes to ban, with the earlier selections holding more weight. The top hero with the most votes will be banned first, followed by the second-most voted heroes of each team. Up to four heroes can be banned each game.
Players will not see the enemy team during the ban phase to prevent picking bans based on who the opponents excel at playing. Blizzard aims for a fast and efficient ban system to enhance the competitive experience for players starting April 22.
