Xbox fans can look forward to grabbing Metro 2033 Redux for free as part of the 15th anniversary celebration of this horror FPS franchise. This remastered version of the original 2010 title, released in 2014 for Xbox One and PS4, has garnered significant acclaim.
The game, drawing inspiration from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels, is celebrated alongside STALKER as one of the premier horror FPS series. Both Metro 2033 and its sequel Last Light received critical acclaim, with the latter achieving an 82 score on Metacritic. The Redux version of Metro 2033 impressively scored a 90.
Since the initial free offer faced issues for Xbox players, fans of the franchise are eager for this opportunity to secure the game once more, but only Xbox users will benefit from this second chance. Steam and GOG players will not receive another opportunity after missing out last time.
Stay tuned to the Metro Twitter account for updates on when the game will be available again for free.
