The Latest Minecraft Update Brings A Minecraft Movie's Ghast Airships to Life

New features in Minecraft's Java edition allow players to create airships reminiscent of scenes from A Minecraft Movie, enhancing gameplay and creativity.

In the recent update of Minecraft, players can now experience flying Ghast airships, a feature inspired by A Minecraft Movie. This update includes friendly flying Ghasts known as Happy Ghasts that players can use to create airships.

New Features

  1. Happy Ghasts are baby Ghasts that are created by hydrating a Ghast fossil. Once grown, they can carry up to four players.
  2. Players can now use upgraded leashes to bind two creatures and create airships, reminiscent of the film’s action scenes.

Players are already experimenting with these airships for creative transportation methods within the game, allowing for cargo movement and enhanced aerial gameplay.

Community Reactions

YouTuber Prowl8413 shared an amusing take on the new feature, stating, “This is 20 villagers… you can carry way way more if you wanted to.” Another user reacted humorously to the transport of animals over dangerous heights, saying, “Minecraft has peaked, you can’t get better than this.”
