EA has announced the issuance of additional invites to the Battlefield Labs program, aimed at allowing selected players to playtest early builds of the upcoming Battlefield 6. Recently, it was revealed that EA has continued to leverage Battlefield Labs to gather user feedback on gameplay and various new elements as the game approaches its launch.
The new Battlefield title, referred to by fans as Battlefield 6, is being produced by a team of unprecedented size, including notable developers like Criterion, EA Motive, and Ripple Effect, along with the creators of the Battlefield franchise, DICE. The Battlefield Labs program serves as a platform for players to experience and provide feedback on innovations during the early stages of development, which is slated for release within EA’s 2026 fiscal year (April 2025 - March 2026).
The program has expressed intentions to include significantly more players over time, originally initiating with a select few thousand participants at its launch in February 2025 across Europe and North America. Although precise numbers of new invites distributed remain unclear, EA indicated that they expect to expand the program further, allowing for many newcomers to join.
Players interested in participating can still sign up on the Battlefield Labs homepage, which also connects to the official Battlefield Discord server. As the program scales, inviting more players is a strong possibility, hinting at potentially larger playtesting events to come.
