Elon Musk Acknowledges Account Boosting in PoE2 and Diablo 4, Questions Why He Should Apologize

Elon Musk says he utilizes account boosting services for gaming, raising eyebrows among fans and competitors alike.

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur known for his ventures in technology and space, stirred the gaming community earlier this month when he live-streamed a high-level character in Path of Exile 2 but appeared uncertain about the fundamental mechanics of the game. His character, Percy_Verence, unfortunately, perished at level 97.

As speculation arose over whether Musk was using account boosting services, he released a video responding to inquiries about his gaming practices. Musk admitted to employing account boosting, as he felt compelled to clarify after fans pointed out that his gaming accounts were active while he was participating in significant real-world events.

He humorously responded to a query about boosting by stating, “What would I be apologizing for?” He does acknowledge that surpassing Asian players is challenging without boosting, which raises eyebrows regarding the integrity of competitive gaming. Musk insists he never claimed personal accomplishment for his high-level character, attributing such achievements to teamwork.

Despite his nonchalant stance on account boosting, it raises questions about the transparency expected in competitive gaming. His comments were made notable by his previous claims of being among the top players in Diablo 4.

In summary, while Musk’s admissions have provoked discussion, his unapologetic rhetoric continues to characterize his public persona.
