At a recent gaming event, when asked about the possibility of being recast, he humorously declared that any studio attempting to replace him would face dire consequences:

“I’d hunt them down and gut them like a fish.”

Despite the jest, Neil clarified that his main hope for the character’s future remains that any new actor honors the essence and depth of Astarion’s character. He stated, “I hope I get to play him again.”
