New Gameplay Footage and Closed Alpha for Deep Rock Galactic's Spin-off

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core announces an upcoming closed alpha test, showcasing new gameplay mechanics and a roguelite structure.

New Gameplay for Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is set to enter early access later this year, featuring a new gameplay trailer unveiled during the recent Triple-I showcase. This co-op shooter enables players to engage in highly destructible cave explorations filled with alien adversaries. Unlike the original game, Rogue Core adopts a roguelite structure: players will commence each mission with basic equipment but can unlock upgrades and abilities as they progress through multi-stage runs.

Additionally, optional missions promise even greater rewards, elevating the excitement the deeper players explore.

“Rogue Core is a rogue lite, not a rogue like, to indicate that there will be meta gameplay with permanent progression between missions.” - Developer, Ghost Ship Games

As the development roadmap indicates, the alpha test is expected in the second quarter of 2025, which is projected to be completed before the end of June. Players interested in participating can register for access directly on the game’s Steam page.
