Narayana Johnson, Audio Director of Cult of the Lamb, Passes Away

The gaming community mourns the loss of Narayana Johnson, known as River Boy, who played a vital role in the development of Cult of the Lamb.

Narayana Johnson, the audio director at Massive Monster, has died, as confirmed by a statement released on the Cult of the Lamb social media on April 3. Known affectionately as River Boy, Johnson contributed significantly by composing the game’s soundtrack and voicing all in-game Followers.

“It’s impossible to describe how much of a void he is leaving at Massive Monster, and how much his absence will be felt. He was more than our Audio Director; he was a creative powerhouse, he was a friend, and he was our silly little guy.”

In addition to his work on Cult of the Lamb, Johnson was part of Willow Beats and produced music for other projects like Unicycle Giraffe.

His recent passing elicited heartfelt tributes from fans and the gaming community alike, along with an outpouring of condolences for the team at Massive Monster.
