Den of Wolves Introduces Unique Dive Feature Inspired by Horror Genre

Upcoming FPS Den of Wolves incorporates innovative gameplay elements from horror while keeping accessibility in focus.

Den of Wolves is an anticipated multiplayer FPS game developed by 10 Chambers, the team known for titles like Payday: The Heist, Payday 2, and the co-op horror game GTFO.

While it may not be strictly classified as a horror game, Den of Wolves plans to incorporate elements from horror games based on insights gained from creating GTFO.

Simon Viklund, co-founder of 10 Chambers, stated, “Dives offer a unique challenge for players.”

Gameplay Highlights

Players will experience familiar mechanics reminiscent of GTFO but with a more forgiving and guided approach, making it easier to engage with the game.

In addition to traditional gameplay, players will occasionally participate in a feature called Dives. These are unique challenges set in a cyberpunk dystopian world run by unregulated capitalists, where players might have to hack into someone’s brain.

Viklund shared, “Dives allow us to experiment with cool challenges, whether they might be parkour sequences or straightforward shootouts.”

The objective of a Dive may range significantly; whether navigating mazes or engaging in intense platforming, each Dive is designed to offer an unpredictable and thrilling experience.

Simon Viklund elaborated, “Every game we develop is an evolution. We’re eager to refine our storytelling capabilities, building on what we have learned from GTFO.”

Ultimately, Den of Wolves aims to deliver engaging and innovative FPS gameplay while tapping into its horror roots, promising varied experiences that challenge players at every turn.
