After the debut of heroes Emma Frost and Ultron, NetEase is speeding up the introduction of new characters to enhance the excitement of Marvel Rivals. Starting in Season 3, a new hero will be released each month, a move to maintain the game’s freshness and engagement levels.

“Since the launch of Season 1, we’ve been deeply contemplating how Marvel Rivals can continuously deliver fun and engaging experiences for you all,” said creative director Guangyun Chen. “During this time, several discussions on social media have certainly added some pressure on us to keep the game as exciting as it has been since December.”

To maintain momentum, the studio is also testing new game modes to be introduced in the future. The approach aims to double the hero roster over a few years, creating a dynamic environment for players.
