New BattleTech Game Seems Unlikely, but a Tabletop RPG Collection Awaits

With no new BattleTech video game on the horizon, players can enjoy a tabletop RPG collection for an affordable price.

Remembering BattleTech

The turn-based BattleTech game created by Harebrained Schemes is still fondly remembered for its engaging gameplay. Released roughly a decade ago, it remains a highlight amidst the void of new releases in the franchise, especially after the split between Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes.

Though a sequel seems out of reach at the moment, enthusiasts can satisfy their cravings with the latest offering from Humble Bundle: the BattleTech RPG Collection. For approximately $18 (£13.89), you receive an expansive collection of 20 PDFs that include lore, campaigns, and everything needed for a tabletop experience. If that’s too much, smaller bundles are available for only $10 (£7.71), or even $1 (77p) for three books.

This collection allows players to immerse themselves in thrilling tabletop battles, maneuvering mechs across maps and engaging in strategic combat. It’s a nearly perfect alternative until we see any new digital adaptations. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to grab these formative RPG tools and continue the legendary BattleTech legacy.
