Josef Fares' Uncertainty Regarding 'Split Fiction' Movie Adaptation

Creative mind behind popular games expresses doubt over movie adaptations of his works.

“Hollywood, there’s so much nonsense,” said Josef Fares, the founder of Hazelight Studios. “I believe it when I see it because nothing has happened yet.”
Translation: “Hollywood, there’s so much bullshit.”
The visionary behind the successful co-op game Split Fiction shared his doubts regarding a movie adaptation of another one of his creations, It Takes Two. Though a deal was made years ago, neither Fares nor fans have seen any progress since then. He highlights the common occurrence of making deals that lead to no results:
“There’s a lot of talk, but nothing happens. We will see if it materializes.”
This raises concerns about the upcoming Split Fiction film, which recently entered a bidding war for its movie rights. As excitement builds, Fares remains skeptical, reiterating that he will only believe it when he sees the film come to fruition.
In summary, while several game-to-film adaptations are in the pipeline, Fares emphasizes the unpredictability of such projects.
