Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 is officially underway, a move that isn’t too surprising given that Space Marine 2 sold impressively well. However, some fans were initially anxious about this news, fearing it might distract from ongoing support for Space Marine 2.
This excitement is juxtaposed with concerns from the player community that development on Space Marine 3 could detract from updates and enhancements for Space Marine 2, which has both a story mode and a co-op Operations mode, as well as a competitive multiplayer option named Eternal War.
Amid these worries, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have taken a firm stance, clarifying in a community blog post that the arrival of Space Marine 3 does not signal a reduction in support for Space Marine 2. They stated, “We hear those of you who fear for Space Marine 2 and its future support. So let us set the record straight: Space Marine 3 does not mean the end of Space Marine 2’s development. Far from it.”
In addition, players can anticipate new features and content in Space Marine 2, including fresh classes, missions, and weapons as part of forthcoming updates, with plans for the next patch set for mid-April.
Focus and Saber have emphasized that no teams are being reassigned to the new project, and they remain committed to enhancing the ongoing game experience for Space Marine 2 fans.
