Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion

The developers behind the acclaimed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge have announced a new arcade-style game titled Marvel: Cosmic Invasion. This upcoming title showcases a cast of 15 iconic characters, including fan-favorites like Wolverine and Spider-Man, as well as lesser-known heroes such as Nova and Phyla-Vell.

The game boasts visually stunning pixel art and an animated introduction reminiscent of classic cartoons. During the latest Nintendo Direct event, the game was first revealed, much to the excitement of fans.

Players will engage in a unique tag-team combat system, allowing players to select two characters, each with their own special powers. This might provide significant depth and replayability, a feature that Shredder’s Revenge explored but could improve upon.

“After witnessing Tribute Games’ unwavering devotion and passion, we knew teaming up with them for this new evolution of Marvel action was the only choice,” said Cyrille Imbert, CEO of Dotemu.

Marvel: Cosmic Invasion is set for release in 2025 and is available for wishlist on Steam. The gaming industry continues to thrive with new releases and revivals, ensuring that the nostalgic feel of beat ’em ups remains alive and well.
