A Modder Revolutionizes Monster Hunter with Lego Traps That Deliver Pure Pain
A creative modder has transformed Monster Hunter traps into Lego bricks, creating a unique gaming experience that resonates with players.
Half the globe might have been navigating a pandemic lockdown on May 8, 2020, but this day also saw the debut of Kimchiworm’s I HOPE YOU STEP ON A LEGO mod for Monster Hunter World.
This mod transforms the in-game shock traps—tools used to capture monsters instead of killing them—into deadly Lego bricks. When monsters step on these traps, they get zapped by electricity, bringing a playful twist to the game.
Due to its popularity, Kimchiworm released a similar mod for Monster Hunter Rise in June 2022. Recently, as of March 23, the Lego-themed shock traps have made their way into Monster Hunter Wilds, much to the delight of fans who missed this essential mod.
Though the modder has not included the color options available in the Rise version—previously offering red, green, blue, or a golden variant—players can still enjoy the classic red brick. For those wanting to enhance their gaming experience, the mod can be obtained from Nexus Mods with the Fluffy Manager mod manager necessary for installation.
