EA Provides New Skins Amidst Discounts for Dragon Age: The Veilguard

EA is giving away free weapon skins alongside a major sale for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, reflecting its ongoing support for the game despite its commercial struggles.

The Steam Spring Sale may be over, but discounts continue for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which is now available at a 50% discount until March 27.

To celebrate this sale, EA is offering a free cosmetic DLC: the Rook’s Weapons Appearance Offer. Details about what the cosmetic items entail are vague, with the store merely stating that the items will appear in Rook’s room upon login.

A Steam review by a user known as wicked_Italian mentions that the new weapon, dubbed ‘Watchful’, is not recommended for those with trypophobia due to its design.

This DLC will be available until April 9 for anyone who buys the game during this promotional period.

Despite EA seemingly moving on from The Veilguard, it did set a sales target of 3 million in the opening months, but the title only reached half that target. As a result, the publisher proceeded to cut down on BioWare’s staffing significantly.

Though the game has received several patches post-launch, its future remains uncertain as the developer shifts focus toward a new Mass Effect installment. The current sale aims to reinvigorate interest in the franchise, likely compelling more players to invest in the titles currently offered at significant discounts.
