A Unique Skyrim Mod Introduces Human Waste, Making the Game More Immersive Yet Odorous

A new Skyrim mod humorously adds human waste to the game's environment, enhancing realism while causing potential olfactory discomfort.

A groundbreaking mod named Everyone Poops—Mihail’s Shards of Immersion is creating quite a buzz in the Skyrim gaming community by introducing actual piles of excrement from various characters. This mod, designed to deepen immersion, ensures that players encounter human feces near and within different in-game structures, including houses, forts, and caves.

Mihail, the creator behind this whimsical project, states that the mod is both “lore friendly” and “fair and balanced”. It extends beyond just humans, as the diverse biological contributions also represent elves, beastmen, and even Falmer, with their droppings possessing luminescent properties due to their mushroom-rich diets.

Mihail humorously notes that the mod even caters to giants, depicting their waste as “disgustingly gigantic”. While the addition of such features may raise eyebrows, the intention is to reflect the reality and odors associated with preindustrial societies. He concludes, “Your world will certainly be more immersive, but it will also certainly smell worse.”

Players have begun to contemplate whether Skyrim’s universe should actually be dotted with such detail. Historically, sanitation in Viking society was considered basic, with recent discoveries indicating possible sophisticated waste management systems.
