Mecha Fighting Game Iron Saga Vs Launches with RPG Elements

Iron Saga Vs combines fighting mechanics with strategic RPG gameplay, featuring beloved mechs from classic anime.

Iron Saga Vs makes its entrance on Steam today, targeting fans of classic mecha anime like Getter Robo and Mazinger Z. Its gameplay features oversized robots doing battle, accompanied by strategic RPG elements that enhance the experience.

Gameplay Overview
While I haven’t tried the game yet, the gameplay showcased in the initial trailer looks promising, featuring the “Super Deformed” style that many gamers are familiar with, reminiscent of titles such as SD Gundam Battle Alliance. Each giant robot is equipped with flashy attacks inspired by classic scenes from anime, ensuring that there’s plenty to enjoy despite a relatively small starting roster of twelve characters.

Future Updates and Expectations
More character options will be added, alongside a tactical RPG story mode that mixes turn-based combat with traditional fighting styles, scheduled for release later this year. For now, players can dive into the mecha action at a price of £21.24/$25.49. Those eager for content updates can look forward to four additional mechs coming later this year, with some expected to be free.

Iron Saga Vs is now available, and if you’re looking for a mix of strategy and fighting in a nostalgic package, it might just be the title to check out.
