On March 20, Nintendo announced that four classic Koei Tecmo strategy games are making their way to the Nintendo Switch Online service’s SNES app. This includes two titles from the Nobunaga’s Ambition series along with Romance of the Three Kingdoms 4: Wall of Fire and Uncharted Waters: New Horizons.
Originally launched on PC in 1986 and later for the SNES in 1993, the Nobunaga’s Ambition series presents historical simulations based on 16th-century military conflicts, where players are tasked with unifying Japan and warding off rival factions. The series has evolved with multiple sequels, including the recent Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening.
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can look forward to these new additions, although it’s still uncertain what other classic games might be included in the future.
